Supervise and mentor a team of accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure the team meets performance goals and objectives
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and other financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations
Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting issues and support cross-functional initiatives
Stay informed about changes in accounting regulations and standards, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory role
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting standards
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with [specific software or ERP systems] preferred
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and integrity
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive working relationships
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
