    Job Overview

    Our Prep Cook / Dishwashers assist our chefs by preparing food ingredients and keeping the kitchen clean and organized. The prep cook will wash, peel, slice, trim, chop, and grate fruit and vegetables, and measure, weigh and mix a wide variety of ingredients. As well as will cut, slice, and grind a variety of meats. You will ensure ingredients are stored and rotated effectively to optimize freshness and ensure desired stock levels at all times, wash dishes and utensils as needed and keep the kitchen tidy and organized during service.

    Duties

    • Prepare workstation with required ingredients and equipment.
    • Prepare ingredients following recipes and guidelines.
    • Cook pizzas, make salads, and other basic cooking responsibilities.
    • Ensure ingredients are tagged, date-labeled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively.
    • Oversee food levels and restocking items on time.
    • Keep benches, sinks, utensils and equipment clean and sanitary.
    • Clean Cookware, dishes and appliances.
    • Establish stock levels at end of shift and capturing information on standardized stock sheets.
    • Remove trash and clearing storage bins.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Skills and Requirements

    • Basic Kitchen experience and or understanding.
    • Understanding of food preparation fundamentals.
    • Ability to follow recipes.
    • Proficient knife handling skills.
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Available to work shifts, on public holidays, and over weekends.
