Summary:

The Entry Level Registered Nurse is a beginner healthcare provider, starting their journey in the field and building a professional identity.

The role involves delivering patient care following the regulations laid out in the State of Maine Nurse Practice Act, Northern Light Health Standards of Care/Practice, and internal policies.

The nurse is in charge of patient care, overseeing other qualified staff, planning and assessing nursing care, and coordinating with healthcare professionals to meet patient needs.

In addition, the nurse ensures documentation compliance, maintains a professional demeanor, and upholds performance standards.

Responsibilities:

Provides safe and effective patient care through proper communication and collaboration with colleagues.
Demonstrates proficiency in equipment usage and care.
Conducts systematic assessments and responds to abnormal diagnostic data.
Maintains professional relationships with patients, families, and staff.
Implements patient care plans and communicates effectively within the healthcare team.
Adheres to best practices, regulatory requirements, and educational competencies.
Ensures culturally competent and patient-centered care.
Fosters a healthy work environment through professional conduct and teamwork.
Takes responsibility for professional development and performance improvement initiatives.

Other Information:

BLS Certification Required.

Mechanical Ventilator management, Airway Management, Cardiovascular monitoring, Chest Tube management, Hemodynamic monitoring, and various other critical care skills.
