    We are seeking a bridge designer/engineer with two (2) + years of experience to become an integral part of our bridge design team.

    Responsibilities:


    Team member responsible for the design and delivery of simple to complex bridge projects in various geographic locations in accordance with state and federal standards.


    Work in cooperation with bridge staff in other offices to deliver PS&E contract documents for local agencies, federal agencies, and state DOTs.

    Responsible for designing structural components, report writing, development of plans, specifications and estimates, quality control and assurance activities.


    Qualifications:
    Education / Qualifications

    BSCE required. Master's Degree in Structural Engineering preferred

    EIT Certification required.

    2+ years engineering experience designing bridge projects. Bridge design experience on Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) projects a plus.

    Load rating experience a plus.


    Familiarity with engineering software packages such as Midas Civil, LEAP Bridge Enterprise, L-Pile, LEAP Bridge Steel, Erikson Culverts, and MathCAD a plus.

    Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD.

    Understanding of seismic design principles and non-linear analysis techniques.

    Strong understanding of structural behavior and mechanics of materials.

    Independently and accurately complete engineering calculations for reinforced and prestressed concrete and steel structures. Familiarity with timber and masonry design a plus.

    Experience developing bridge plans (coordinating markups with CADD technicians), assembling/ writing specifications, and developing quantities and cost estimates.

    Mid-level proficiency with Microsoft Office software applications (including MS Project)

    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
