  • Samaritan Health Plans (SHP) provides health insurance options to Samaritan employees, community employers, and Medicare and Medicaid members. SHP operates a portfolio of health plan products under several different legal structures: InterCommunityHealth Plans, Inc. (IHN) is designated as a regional Coordinated Care Organization (CCO) for Medicaid beneficiaries; Samaritan Health Plans, Inc. offers Medicare Advantage, Commercial Large Group, and Commercial Large Group PPO and EPO plans; SHP is also the third-party administrator for Samaritan Health Services' self-funded employee health benefit plan.   • JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Directs the financial reporting, analysis and reimbursement strategy for Samaritan Health Plans. Directs operational strategies and financial plans for all lines of business based on trend analysis, revenue streams, sustainability, cost data and knowledge of the plans, systems and industry. Serves as project leader for complex data analysis projects that can be multi-disciplinary or interdepartmental.
  • EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS Master's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related field and seven (7) years of finance experience in health care or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in the following areas required: Leadership to at least the Management level. Pricing and forecasting models/methodologies. Data interpretation, analysis and reporting to find efficient solutions. Clinical and financial data. Facilitation and negotiation. Intermediate MS Access and advanced MS Excel.
