Job summary
The Safety Specialist reports directly to the Safety Director. The role supports a strong proactive safety culture and an effective, efficient, and compliant safety program ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations to avoid accidents while raising morale.Responsibilities
- Maintains thorough working knowledge of S&S Activewear policies procedures Standard Operating Procedures SOPs and company safety guidelines to ensure injuries are prevented and regulatory requirements are adhered to.
- Maintain and analyze safety data for trends deficiencies or improvements formulate a plan communicate with leadership perform review incident investigations for all incidents near misses review manage workers compensation case management perform documented safety inspections observations provide comprehensive safety training new existing employees communicating changes in regulations programs assist Operations improvement projects researching suggesting options obtaining proposals evaluating compliance implementing enforcing overseeing enforcing safe behaviors recognized developing action plans coordinate follow-up communicate management.
