"A Day in the Life"
As a National Account Manager, you will be the face of our brand to a portfolio of General Construction accounts. This role will lead the charge in identifying growth opportunities, building strategic relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that drive long-term value. This is an opportunity for a seasoned and highly motivated sales professional with a solid work ethic, exceptional character, and a dynamic personality. The key objective for this role is to develop and implement growth opportunities with an identified list of General Construction accounts. The National Account Manager understands how to leverage data, identify trends and pursue valid, profitable opportunities. This role requires a solid history of capturing general construction business and will function as a subject matter expert to the sales organization to contribute to achieving business objectives, establishing strong customer relationships at the necessary level and improving customer satisfaction. The National Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to the National Accounts portfolio while producing proactive plans to increase brand awareness of the company's product and services in new and prospective accounts. The sales professional will also be tasked with implementing and managing current national strategic account relationships in the assigned vertical market.
"What You'll Do"
- Collaborate with Senior Manager, National Accounts to develop and implement strategic account action plans for general construction sector clients.
- Develop and execute comprehensive National Account customer strategies focused on enhancing customer experience, expanding year-over-year opportunities, and deepening client relationships to maximize long-term value within the vertical market.
- Establish and maintain productive, multi-level relationships with key stakeholders across assigned customer accounts, including executives, project managers, superintendents, and procurement teams, ensuring alignment with all decision-making roles.
- Review, negotiate, and manage contractual agreements—including Master Service Agreements (MSA's), terms and conditions—to ensure mutual understanding of deliverables, expectations, and competitive positioning; develop win strategies tailored to each account.
- Conduct targeted sales meetings and presentations to communicate company capabilities and demonstrate in-depth technical knowledge of products and emerging opportunities.
- Participate in large opportunity reviews by gathering critical data, assessing feasibility (Go/No-Go analysis), preparing tailored proposals, and serving as the sales lead for high-impact projects driven by strategic relationships and market insights.
- Monitor and manage sales pipelines, engaging regularly with sales teams to ensure consistent progress and drive performance across key accounts.
- Travel is between 40% to 60% to support the National Accounts Customer portfolio and department, including trade shows, customer and association events.

- 8+ years in outside sales and developing accounts at a national level
- Ability to travel nationally 40-60% per business need
- Highly motivated to succeed and win
- Proven track record in large account penetration, negotiation and implementation
- Has experience and understanding of the federal, state, and local government procurement process
- Highly skilled at building relationships with customers, prospects and industry partners
- Organized, detailed and accurate with demonstrated high-level computer and telephone skills
- Proven ability to successfully review, comprehend, negotiate and secure contracts and MSA's
- Demonstrated selling and closing skills
- Prior effective use of CRM tools
- Ability to achieve customer contact goals and handle potential customers in a professional and appropriate manner
- Communicates regularly the strategic account plans with all commercial sales representatives
- Collects data and develops action plans to leverage cross divisional and interregional relationships
- Ability to convey sales messaging in a professional and effective manner and provide summary information to potential customers
- Ability to partner with all internal departments to support implementation of MSA's
- Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Excellent problem solver, track record of high-quality decisions
- Able to learn on the fly, exceptionally bright
- Strong drive for results, effective priority setting

- Experience in the equipment rental industry preferred.
- Experience selling and executing projects in General Construction desired.
