    Overview:

    AAA Life is seeking a Risk Management Intern The objective of this position is to provide our interns with a robust learning experience within their desired area of learning.

    The Risk Management Intern performs assigned projects to assist the Operational Risk and Enterprise Risk Management functions. The intern will be asked to constructively interact with other departments to identify and assess risks, and to improve processes and controls across the organization. The work assigned to the intern will be somewhat defined and performed under direct supervision.

    Responsibilities:
    • Assist in the facilitation of Risk and Control Self-Assessments with various business operations. covering risks associated with the Companys products, services, operations, and business decision, and identify associate risk mitigation factors.
    • Assist business unit management in the development of key risk and control indicators, and strategic plans to prevent, eliminate and mitigate operational risks based on root cause analysis.
    • Assist in the tracking and reporting of operational issues.
    • Assist in the Enterprise Risk Regulatory reporting.
    • Provide support in gathering data and compiling key metrics to develop risk reports.
    • Attend internal and external meetings to discuss risk, risk mitigation, and trainings.
    Qualifications:
    • Active student in good standing currently enrolled in Junior or Senior year of college
    • Course work in support of a Bachelors degree related to business management, risk management, economics, business administration, accounting, or similar field
    • Overall GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills
    • Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
