- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license/certification in the state of Arizona.
- Completion of 2-3 reference checks from previous supervisors or colleagues.
- Possession of an active IVP fingerprint card and number.
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in educational settings.
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders, assessment techniques, and therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to implement treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, families, and educational staff.
- Flexibility, patience, and creativity in addressing the diverse needs of students.
- Provide direct speech and language services to students on the caseload under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Implement therapy sessions and activities designed to address individualized goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with the supervising SLP to assess students' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students receiving speech services.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of therapy sessions, progress reports, and other required paperwork.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians, teachers, and other school personnel regarding students' speech and language needs and progress.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development activities, and other school-related events as required.
