We are looking for a charismatic individual to join our team as the new Director of Nursing (DON) at The Healthcare Resort of Kansas City The right person must be passionate about the quality of care their residents receive, while also being passionate about growing the individuals around them through creating an empowered environment for all.

• In search of a clinical partner who is in it for the long haul; not interested in a six month fling.

You like long walks on the beach? We can round through the facility together to ensure we stay survey ready.

Need a partner that won't leave you with the heavy lifting? I will help clean the supply room, mop the med room floors, and empty your shred box before it overflows.

There's a report due to the state? I'll interview residents, educate staff and help complete the report. You will not be aloneSurvey in the building? I'll have lunch delivered before you realize you are hungry.

Need a shift covered? How big of bonus will it take? I don't want you covering shifts, I want a well-rested DON to own the clinical processes.

Provide 24-hour accountability for the Nursing Department in directing and coordinating all activities of nursing servicesMakes rounds to verify clinical compliance including periodic spot checks of resident's conditionCoordinate clinical services to promote standard clinical interventions of resident careTakes corrective action in response to quality of service issuesInvestigate any complaints and concerns as indicatedReview and follow-up on documentation for clinical complianceSupervise all nursing activity within the departmentEnsure coaching and disciplinary actions are provided as indicated within the policies and procedures of the campusEvaluate performance/skills/job knowledge of nursing staffQualifications:Kansas (or compact state)
