    At Manhatta, we are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team. As part of Union Square Hospitality Group, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional dining experiences with a focus on down-to-earth hospitality.

    About You:

    • You will work closely with the Executive Chef to maintain the highest standards in kitchen operations.
    • You will oversee the execution of menus throughout service and ensure all pars are met in the prep kitchen.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver Enlightened Hospitality to guests and team members.
    • Maintain high performance and excellence throughout each day's service periods.
    • Ensure consistent food execution and timely flow of service by directing the team and expediting service effectively.
    • Educate dining room staff on menu items and culinary procedures through tastings and presentations.
    • Maintain positive working relationships with dining room leaders and line staff.
    • Ensure recipes, product, food preparations, and executions meet restaurant specifications and commitment to culinary excellence.
    • Train new hires to execute stations properly and partner with the Sous Chef team to ensure adequate training before beginning their new role.
    • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and operational success.

    Requirements:

    • 2+ years of experience in culinary leadership and fine dining.
    • Certification in Hospitality-related field (preferred).
    • Demonstrated experience in collaborating and communicating across teams.
    • Excellent food and beverage knowledge.
    • Availability to work an AM shift preferred but not required.
