- Assist in preparing written correspondence, reports, presentation materials and other documents in appropriate formats using word processing and spreadsheet software.
- Learn and understand Operations at both Kalamazoo and Portsmouth sites, helping support continuous improvement efforts through data collection, analysis and discovery.
- Help develop slide decks and action lists to drive improvements at both sites.
- Connect with leaders at each site to promote continuous improvment and adherence to planned action dates..
- Ability to provide simultaneous translation of oral conversations between Japanese and English.
- Knowledge of engineering, engineering technology or closely related fields is preferred.
- Proficient in the use of personal computers, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Perform other job related tasks as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED or Associates degree/2 years college in business information systems.
- Post-secondary training in business information systems, office management and/or word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- 6+ years experience in a position requiring extensive use of Microsoft office software.
- Excellent Japanese and English language skills, including verbal and written translation/interpretation
