    Job Summary:
    A bank located in NYC is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join their fast paced & growing team. The HRBP will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The HRBP will serve as a consultant to management on human resources-related issues, act as an employee champion and change agent, and manage human resources operations. Your experience will guide the creation of programs aimed at talent development, retention, and employee engagement. With your excellent project and program management skills, you will lead cross-functional initiatives, ensuring their alignment with our strategic objectives. Proficiency in analytics, and reporting will empower you to make data-driven decisions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Employee Relations: Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations. Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
    • Terminations: Oversee the termination process, ensuring it is handled in a respectful and legally sound manner. Provide guidance to management on carrying out terminations.
    • Talent Management: Develop and implement talent management strategies. Identify talent needs, oversee talent acquisition, and design training and development programs.
    • HR Policies: Develop and implement HR policies and procedures. Communicate and explain HR policies to the employees.
    • Performance Management: Oversee and manage performance appraisal system. Provide coaching to the managers on performance management and disciplinary matters.
    • Learning and development: Drive efforts by identifying needs and designing programs to enhance workforce capabilities.
    • Project and program management: effectively leading HR initiatives from conception through to execution.
    • Insights/reporting: Utilize analytics and HR metrics to provide insight, and measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives

    Qualifications:

    • 7-15 years experience working within Human Resources Management.
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Strong PowerPoint skills.
    • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner within a banking environment.
    • Strong experience in managing employee relations, investigations, and terminations.
    • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations.
    • Strong talent management skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to build and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
    • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) is highly regarded
    • Strategic thinker who can also roll up their sleeves and get things done according to prescribed timelines. Excellent execution skills.
