    *Full-time, 2nd shift opportunity3pm - 11pm*No tool & die experience necessary - willing to trainA premier manufacturer local to Lancaster County is searching for a Maintenance Technician in their Tool & Die department The Tool and Die Technician will be responsible for planning, laying out, constructing, altering, and repairing a broad range of tools and equipment. This role demands considerable judgment to plan work, make precise machine setups, perform skilled bench work, and maintain strict tolerances.


    Responsibilities:

    • Work under the guidance of senior tool and die personnel to interpret drawings, sketches, samples, and job instructions for planning and executing tasks.
    • Conduct necessary mathematical calculations for allowances in fitting and finishing operations.
    • Collaborate with machinists on complex tasks and lay out work as required.Set-up and operate all machine tools, determining alignments, locations, and speeds.
    • Perform work indication to identify runouts or misalignments.
    • Provide troubleshooting and repair assistance to set-up technicians.
    • Keep the work area and equipment tidy and organized.
    • Perform and document preventative maintenance on dies accurately.

    Requirements:

    • A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for completion of a technical or trade school program in a related field.
    • A minimum of 1 years of relevant work experience.
    • Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
    • Ability to interpret complex drawings, specifications, and sketches.
    • Advanced understanding of shop mathematics and handbook formulas.
    • Familiarity with basic computer operations, including email, Excel, and web-based applications.
    • Detail-oriented with the ability to make informed decisions, plan and execute tasks, and identify equipment issues.
    • Strong communication skills are essential.
