- Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, settlement agreements, orders for contract negotiations and court proceedings
- Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel under the direction of senior associate attorneys
- Analyze conflicts in legal matters, advise clients on potential resolutions, and negotiate on behalf of clients
- Communicate with senior associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently
- Maintain client files in an organized fashion to ensure up-to-date information is readily available for other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
- Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base.
- Outstanding and effective communication and problem-solving skills to work with clients, staff members and senior attorneys.
- Demonstrated interviewing skills to know which questions to ask to gather more information and to gain a thorough understanding of claims.
- Excellent research, analytical, verbal, and writing skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a high-volume caseload in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
- Professionalism, strong work ethic, and sense of compassion.
