Description
Casual Dental Hygienist at St. Paul Clinic. Clinic hours of operation are Monday - Thursday, business hours (specific days for coverage needed are Wed/Thurs). Availability to train and orientate several times a week until fully trained is needed. Restorative expanded functions Certification a plus
Develops and implements individualized dental care plans for patients; performs patient education, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching under the supervision of the dentist. Assesses dental condition and needs of patient. Delivers direct patient care to patients as assigned or within scope of practice; performs routine treatment procedures such as cleaning, polishing, x-rays, application of sealants and fluorides, and related procedures that the dentist has prior knowledge and has given consent for the procedures being performed during which the dentist is not required to be present in the dental office or on the premises.
Specific duties and care is determined by the work setting and patient population served; however, in all positions, serving patients with challenging and complex conditions requires a concentration of specialized staff able to work in highly coordinated teams. We organize care around each patient's condition which requires staff at multiple levels and across many departments to exhibit exceptional teamwork qualities including communicating efficiently and effectively and adopting the behaviors required for high functioning integrated teams.

The hourly wage for this opportunity is $ to $, with a median wage of $ hour. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification & licensure, and internal equity.
