    Description

    Toledo Clinic is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant (RMA/CMA/CCMA) to provide clinical support in a fast paced Internal Medicine Office.

    This position will work Mon-Fri, 8-4:30 with no weekends or holidays. Employee benefits such as health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, 401-k, PTO and holiday pay will be offered.

    Toledo Clinic is offering a $2,000 Sign-On Bonus to qualified Medical Assistants and Certified Patient Care Techs.

    Sign-On Bonuses are payable within 30 days of hire to employees that have active and verified credentials (ex:
    RMA/CMA/CCMA/CPCT/A).

    For candidates that have not yet obtained or need to renew their credential, the Sign-On Bonus is payable once the credential is obtained and verified.

    After one year of service, qualified Medical Assistants/Certified Patient Care Techs will be eligible for an additional

    $2,000 Retention Bonus.



    General Summary:

    Assist physician(s) with patient treatment, prepares patient for physician(s), and performs various clerical duties.

    Works under the supervision of the Office Manager


    Principal Duties & Responsibilities:


    • Assist Drs
    with patient care (i

    assisting with minor procedures/surgeries such as removing sutures, staples, moles, etc.).


    • Various clerical duties (i

    e:
    answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling patient charts, etc.).


    • Escorting patients to exam room.
    • Preparing exam rooms.
    • Preparing patient for Drs. (i

    e:
    histories, blood pressure, vitals, etc.).


    • Sterilizing and preparing instruments.
    • At the request of the physician, calling in prescription refills.
    • Order and maintain exam room supplies and instruments.
    • Follow up with lab work and/or xrays.
    • Administering injections.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    Required:


    • Excellent interpersonal skills required.
    • Consistently arrives at work, in professional attire, on time and completes all tasks within established time frame.
    • Seeks appropriate tasks when primary tasks are completed and assists coworkers as needed.
    • Demonstrates adaptability to expanded roles.
    • Credentialed as a Medical Assistant (i

    CMA, CCMA or RMA) or Certified as a Patient Care Tech (CPCT/A)


    Education:


    • Medical Assisting degree or diploma from an accredited school required or Patient Care Tech Diploma/Degree

    Preferred:


    • Clinical medical assisting experience preferred.
