- Provide direct care through evaluation, treatment and follow-up.
- Perform all aspects of patient care, including greeting, history taking, and medical procedures.
- Insure patients receive appropriate follow-up care and instructions.
- Demonstrate willingness to be flexible in meeting the needs of individual patients and of their caretakers.
- Work with direct care staff in a cooperative, informative and non-confrontational manner.
- Work in concert with nursing staff for efficient management of patient flow.
- Make appropriate referrals within CEC for specialty care and consultation.
- Engage in informal consultation with CEC specialists and clinicians to ensure coordinated care.
- Be available for after-hours emergencies and consultations.
- Physician licensed by and currently registered with the New York State Education Department in area of specialty.
- Qualified by training, experience to treat persons with developmental disabilities.
- Board Certification or Board Eligible.
- Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License.
- Possession of own malpractice insurance (or through hospital affiliation
