The Department of Pediatrics at Wake Forest School of Medicine (Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist) in Winston-Salem, North Carolina is seeking a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.
This is a full-time academic faculty position with primary clinical and teaching responsibilities, as well as expectations for research and scholarly activities.
The ideal candidate must be board certified/board eligible in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and possess a record of clinical excellence and a strong interest in graduate medical education.
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience.The Department of Pediatrics is a multi-specialty, highly regarded academic department. Our hematology/oncology team includes 6 board-certified pediatric hematologist/oncologists, 2 nurse practitioners, 3 physician assistants, and other dedicated healthcare professionals. We see 65-70 new oncology patients per year.
We are a full member of the Children's Oncology Group and an integral part of the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Brenner Children's Hospital forms the focal point for pediatric healthcare at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Winston-Salem.Brenner Children's Hospital includes 155 inpatient beds, 18 PICU/Intermediate Care beds, and 53 NICU beds, and is a major referral center for central and western North Carolina and southwestern Virginia.
Inpatient and outpatient care is provided in Brenner Children's Hospital, as well as a satellite hematology clinic in Greensboro, NC.
