- Lucy's Link, providing observations and assessments for young children in the community.
- Resources and Support, Lucy Daniels Center skilled staff provide parenting groups, social skills groups, observations and assessments, caregiver workshops and support groups, and teacher training across North Carolina in partnership with organizations like Telamon Corporation and the Psychoanalytic Center of the Carolinas.
- Provide clinical assessments and individual therapy for children birth through eleven with social and emotional difficulties in the outpatient clinic
- Ability to think about and provide clinical interventions through a psychodynamic, psychoanalytic lens
- Meet caseload requirements that have been established by the Clinical Director
- Maintain appropriate records of evaluation and treatment and complete all other necessary record keeping;
- Assist from time to time with other general duties, programs, or services of the Center
- Attend case conferences, staff meetings, and participate in general Center activities
- Participate in supervision that is established by the Clinical Director
- Provide screenings, assessments, and help clients access needed services
- Relate to parents and children in a manner in accordance with general professional expectations of the Center
- Enter and analyze data as necessary for HIPAA-compliant client documentation
- Develop relationships and maintain communication with referring agencies
- Master's degree in a mental health specialty is required.
- Licensed to practice this mental health specialty in North Carolina is required.
- 1 or more years of experience working with young children.
- Desire to work in a psychodynamic, psychoanalytic lens
- Strong reading, writing, and administrative skills; ability to communicate clearly in oral written and numeric forms.
- Strong organization skills, accuracy, and ability to successfully manage projects.
- Understanding and appreciation of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and desire and humility to grow and learn with the team.
- Willingness to extend kindness, compassion, and accountability to oneself and others.
- Proficient with computer skills and knowledge of database programs.

THE POSITION SUMMARYThe Lucy Daniels Center FGS Clinician would be responsible for providing early childhood mental health consultation support to our FGS staff, children, and families under the guidance and supervision of the Clinical/Executive Director. The FGS Clinician provides a broad range of services, including early childhood mental health consultation in classrooms and homes, individual child observations, referral services, and supporting and providing parent trainings. The clinician collects data, maintains records, and supports compliance in all facets of the FGS Program. Hiring for this role is ongoing, and applicants are encouraged to apply at any time.

PRIMARY RELATIONSHIPSThis position reports to the Clinical/Executive Director and will interact regularly with other FGS and Administrative team members.
