    Associate Director, Translational Medicine

    Position Overview:


    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Director, Translational Medicine to lead translational research efforts supporting their oncology drug development programs.

    The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in advancing the pipeline from preclinical stages through clinical development, leveraging their expertise in translational medicine, biomarker development, and oncology/immunology.


    Key Responsibilities:

    Translational Strategy Development:


    Develop and execute translational medicine strategies aligned with overall drug development goals, integrating preclinical and clinical data to inform decision-making.


    Biomarker Discovery and Development:
    Lead biomarker discovery efforts to identify and validate predictive and pharmacodynamic biomarkers, facilitating patient stratification and treatment response monitoring.

    Clinical Trial Support:
    Provide translational medicine expertise to clinical development teams, contributing to study design, protocol development, and biomarker-driven patient selection strategies.

    Collaboration:


    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Research, Clinical Development, Biomarker Discovery, and External Partners to drive translational research initiatives and ensure seamless transition from preclinical to clinical stages.


    Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    Analyze and interpret complex translational data sets, generating actionable insights to guide therapeutic development decisions.

    External Engagement:


    Represent the company externally, fostering collaborations with academic institutions, contract research organizations (CROs), and key opinion leaders to advance translational research goals.


    Qualifications:
    Ph.
    D. or M.D. with significant industry experience in translational medicine, oncology, or related field.

    Demonstrated track record of success in leading translational research efforts within the biopharmaceutical industry, with specific experience in small molecule drug development for oncology/immunology.

    Expertise in biomarker discovery and development, including proficiency in molecular and cellular techniques, genomics, and bioinformatics.
    Strong understanding of clinical trial design and execution, with experience in biomarker-driven clinical development strategies.
    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically evaluate complex scientific data and draw meaningful conclusions.
    Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with strong communication and leadership skills.
    Prior experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.

    Location:
    This position is based in Boston, MA and will require 2-3 days a week on-site.
