    Education

    • Two (2) Years of College or Graduate of an accredited Imaging program or graduate of a certificate or degree granting program or post-secondary educational program in a health science (includes but not limited to, cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, nursing or paramedic/EMT).
    Experience / Qualifications
    • Current State of Florida license if applicable.
    • Current ARRT or RCIS or obtain within 18 months.
    • American Heart Association BLS, for Heath Care Provider.
    • 2 years' clinical training or 1-year procedural experience (IR/ Cath lab/ Scrub experience) preferred.
    • Minimum 1 year Neuro-Interventional experience required.
    • Proficient computer skills.
    • Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
    • Must be able to take call.
    Position Summary

    The neuro-interventional technologist will assist in routine diagnostic, highly complex invasive neuro, and peripheral interventions. The technologist will assist in performing many neuro-interventional surgical procedures such as cerebral aneurysm coils, avascular malformations, and stroke interventions.
    • The neuro-interventional technologist is required to be competent in a wide variety of procedures referred by oncology, trauma, urology, gastroenterology, and nephrology.
    • The neuro-interventional technologist must follow established protocols and guidelines for use by physicians in diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.
    • The neuro-interventional technologist demonstrates an excellent knowledge of the human anatomy & pathology and can use this knowledge to provide quality imaging for interpretation. Will be responsible for ordering and stocking of supplies utilized in Special Procedures and the Biplane.
    • Must have a thorough understanding of aseptic technique.
    • Must be able to scrub and/or circulate in the Special Procedure and Biplane suites, have a thorough knowledge of catheters, anatomy, positioning, and techniques used in angiography and related work.
