    Job Description

    Overview

    We are looking for a Network Engineer with a vast knowledge of Cisco Switches, PaloAlto Firewalls, Panorama, Azure Firewalls, and Conditional Access Policies. Key responsibilities include setting up Cisco switches from scratch according to our client's standards, maintaining switch OS versions to the latest recommended versions, setting up and maintaining PaloAlto firewalls directly and through Panorama, troubleshooting network issues and swiftly remedying any issues that arise.

    Under the guidance of the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), the incumbent will perform several critical functions aimed at enhancing the organization's network security and cybersecurity posture.

    Essential Functions

    Education and Qualifications

    • degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field is required.
    • experience in network management.

    Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

    • Knowledge and experience installing and supporting Palo Alto Firewalls (minimum three years)
    • Experience of installing and maintaining Cisco Switches
    • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer 7-8 (PCNSE7-8) certification is preferred.
    • CCNP certified (or higher) preferred.
    • Knowledge of protocols BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, SPT, TRUNKS, VLANs, Port-Channel, Static routing
    • Network topologies and protocols. Examples being MPLS, VRF, SIP, Traffic Shaping / QoS
    • Palo Alto Command line
    • Must have a good networking background and understanding.
    • A high level of Palo Alto expertise in design, configuration, migrations, tuning and

    of features

    • A thorough knowledge of Panorama, Wildfire, Global Protect, and other Palo Alto features including and not limited to SSL decryption.
    • Experience of supporting clients remotely and face to face, along with experience of working with SIP providers
    • Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analysers.
    • communication skills – both written and verbal
    • Must be flexible to work outside of business hours as per business requirements.
    • Needs to be able to remain calm under pressure and ensure a logical thought process is maintained.
