SLR International Corporation is seeking an experienced project manager and team leader to work with SLR's Alaska based technical staff on the delivery of consulting services to clients in multiple business sectors in Interior Alaska.

Proven ability in project management and technical work oversight associated with contaminated site investigations and remediation required.

A minimum of 12 years of regulatory or consulting experience, team leadership including mentoring junior staff, and client management experience is also required.

Experience managing projects in compliance with State of Alaska environmental regulations as well as CERCLA, and RCRA is strongly preferred.

Key position requirements include strong writing and presentation skills; ability to travel (primarily in Alaska); and ability to be on project sites to oversee fieldwork, as needed to support project success.

Job Description Technical Skills/Experience

A minimum of 12 years of managing consulting assignments, working directly with clients, and negotiating with regulatory agencies.
Capable of managing a variety of project deliverables with varying timelines.

Proven project management experience from proposal stage to completion including establishing scopes and project budgets, client communications, managing deliverables, and coordinating project teams.

Successful business development experience in Alaska.
Experience managing and leading a team of diverse professionals.
Previous experience with a small to midsize consultancy a plus.
Education/Qualifications

Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Engineering or related field required.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER.
Understanding of Alaska environmental regulatory requirements.
Previous experience working on projects with ADEC and/or EPA oversight.
Willing to travel by airplane and car, including overnight travel.
Valid driver's license required.
