REQUIREMENTS :

• Excellent Attendance
• Ability to multi-task
• Effective communication skills – verbal & written
• Demonstrated experience using basic hand tools
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Moderate computer skills and mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Experience working in a fast and changing environment

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Responsible for adhering to all safety regulations
• Material Handling and storage standard (stacking of boxes, label placement, engagement of crate feet, no heavy items on top of light items, etc....)
• Production Line Setup
• Review Job Orders. Proactively place materials on production line.
• Print labels
• Label material for visual management and correct line set up.
• Moving product within department. Load flow racks/assembly lines.
• Picking of items for consumable locations (shop order consumption)
• Location to location transfer in JDE
• Claiming of Production Shop Order (JDE), including label printing
• Reporting of inventory discrepancies
• Operation of Cardboard Bailer
• Operation of Trash Compactor
• Communicate with other material handlers to maintain the most efficient flow
• Locating parts in the warehouse, identifying, and verifying parts
• Operating scanners and other hand-held devices
• Work in other departments as needed
• Other duties as assigned
• Move up 1 Wage Level = 3% increase or to minimum of Wage Level (greater)
• Move up 2 Wage Levels = 5% increase or to minimum of Wage Level (greater)
• Move down a Wage Level = Loss of one half of your last promotional increase
