The starting pay range is determined by the Degree of Qualification (DOQ) and falls between $85,263 and $95,921 ($29.28-$32.94/hr) with the top pay reaching $106,579 ($36.60/hr) after 3 years.

Previous experience as a Firefighter/Paramedic will be taken into account for potential advancement and specialized opportunities, front-loaded PTO/Holiday hours, and years of service credit for longevity incentive pay.

The Firefighter/Paramedic is responsible for protecting life and property by performing fire prevention, fire suppression, inspections, public education, hazardous materials incident mitigation, and rescue and emergency medical services.

The Firefighter/Paramedic maintains fire equipment, apparatus and facilities, participates in training; performs intermediate troubleshooting and analysis, makes recommendations and keeps records as required.
