    The Intake Specialists general responsibilities include:
    • Administering and facilitating the processing of all applicants.
    • Effective Communication (phone, in-person, email) with the public, business partners, and internal colleagues.
    • Time management, attention to detail, and accuracy.
    Duties include:

    Applicant Screening and Processing:
    • Interviewing and verifying data.
    • Conducting credit checks and determining eligibility.
    • Logging applications and data entry.
    • Explaining program requirements, and notifying applicants of determination in writing.
    Waiting List Management:
    • Updating and maintaining.
    • Generating monthly reports.
    • Explaining waitlist policies to applicants.
    • Providing status updates.
    Communication and Reporting:
    • Answering inquiries regarding eligibility and waitlist status.
    • Compiling statistical data for departmental reporting.
    • Assisting with producing monthly and annual reports.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Organized & Detail-Oriented: Keep things running smoothly with top-notch organization and a focus on accuracy.
    • Numbers: Handle rent calculations and other finance tasks.
    • People Person: Conduct interviews and interact with everyone respectfully and professionally.
    • Confidentiality: Keep information safe and secure.
    • Tech & Writing Savvy: Write reports, forms, and letters, and handle common computer programs with confidence.
    • The ability to navigate complex regulations and policies. You will be trained on federal, state, and local rules, regulations, and policies).
    Education & Experience Highlights:
    • College Degree: Associate in business or public administration preferred.
    • Field Experience: 1 year working in public housing, social services, or case management (or relevant combo of experience and education).
