- The primary accountability relationship for this position is the Ashland/Bayfield/Iron Counties FoodWIse Nutrition Coordinator for supervision, compensation and benefits, and performance reviews.
- This position's primary programming focus is Ashland and Bayfield Counties; however, some programming may also be conducted over a broader geographical area.

About the Position:
The FoodWIse Nutrition Educator position will be located in Ashland County and will primarily serve Ashland/Bayfield/Iron Counties and surrounding communities.
The Health & Well-Being Institute works to catalyze positive change in Wisconsin residents through evidence-based and community-engaged health promotion programs to improve health, build community capacity to identify and address health inequities, engage in collective action, and achieve greater health equity.
The FoodWIse program ) advances healthy eating habits, active lifestyles, and healthy community environments for families with limited incomes through nutrition education at the individual, community, and systems levels. FoodWIse is federally funded by the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) and Expanded Food and Nutrition Program (EFNEP) grants.The Nutrition Educator is a member of the Ashland/Bayfield/Iron Counties FoodWIse team. Nutrition Educators are peer educators who co-learn with community members and adapt teaching to honor cultures and experiences. Nutrition Educators engage people from the diverse communities of Wisconsin to adopt healthy food and physical activity habits.
