- Must be comfortable with face-to-face tutoring (some virtual assignments are available).
- Tutors must be proficient in English Language Arts topics for the specified grade level.
- Tutors should be equipped to assist students with homework help as well as closing skills gaps.
- Tutors must have work experience with tutoring or teaching in the subject area(s).
- Tutors must be engaging and enjoy working with and being a role model for students.
- Tutors should be available during the day or late afternoon/early evening for their assignments.
- Tutors must have reliable transportation.
- Submit to a mandatory background check.
- Possessing any of the following is a PLUS:
- A current Georgia Teaching Certificate.
- A bachelor's degree and at least one year of teaching or two years of tutoring experience.
- Bi-lingual tutoring experience (Spanish).
