    Overview:
    The Electrical Engineer PE I applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies

    Responsibilities:

    Specific responsibilities include:
    Analyzes, develops, and evaluates systems.
    Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects.
    Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field, and manages projects.
    Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment.
    Performs work under minimal supervision.
    Handles complex issues and problems and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
    Provides leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. May act as a lead or first-level supervisor.
    This position is Full-Time, Exempt, and reports to the Engineering Director.


    Qualifications:


    Required Education, Experience and QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering and Professional Engineer (PE) License4-6 years of experienceStrong proficiency in REVITStrong technical skills; familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Excellent verbal and written communications skillsPossesses comprehensive knowledge of the subject matterCritical thinking skillsDetail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environmentExcellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessaryPreferred Education, Experience and QualificationsPreferred experience with the design of healthcare projects.

    Preferred experience with the design of Higher Education projects.
    Preferred experience with the design of Central Energy Plant (CEP) electrical infrastructure projects.
    Preferred experience in the design of medium voltage protection and power distribution systems.
    Preferred experience in the design of paralleled generator systems at medium voltage and below.
    Travel Requirements5-10% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.
    Physical/Work Environment RequirementsProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    Climbing stairs.
    Remaining in a stationary position, often kneeling, standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
    Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
    Quiet environment.
    Light work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects up to 20 pounds.
