- Ability to establish positive relationships with all stakeholders and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
- Exemplary clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills essential for quality patient care.
- Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in practicing state.
- National Certification preferred.
- CPR required based on AHA standards within 30 days of hire

10EW at UPMC Montefiore is a 30-bed General Medicine Unit catering to a diverse patient population. From step-down to monitored patients covering various specialties, this unit offers a great environment for nurses to gain experience and enhance clinical knowledge. Our RNs follow a rotating schedule and work closely with medical teams, engaging in multidisciplinary bedside rounds for optimal patient care.
About the Position:
The Division of Adult Acute Care is the primary group admitting patients to the general medicine service at UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore Hospitals.
Our General Medicine patient population includes a wide range of conditions, requiring compassionate and expert nursing care across all age groups. The Clinician plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of excellence in nursing practice and patient care, working collaboratively with management to achieve quality outcomes. As a Clinician, you will lead and deliver high-quality care through your clinical expertise and leadership skills, impacting patient well-being and healthcare practices.
Purpose:
The Clinician Fellow embodies professional nursing practice, specializing in clinical expertise, teaching, and evidence-based practice. Collaborating with management, the Clinician Fellow contributes to enhancing the standard of nursing practice and patient care. With responsibilities encompassing leadership, education, and clinical coordination, the Clinician Fellow shapes a positive healthcare environment and demonstrates a commitment to both the community and nursing profession.
