    Description

    TrendHR is recruiting for a busy personal injury law firm near Rockwall, TX. We are looking for an experience Paralegal with at least 5 years experience, preferably in personal injury law. Our client offers great benefits, including healthcare and 401k plan. The ideal candidate will need to have experience in writing pleadings, discovery requests, motions, subpoenas, correspondences and more. This is an immediate need and the opportunity is a direct hire with our client.

    RESPONSIBILITITES:

    • Assist lawyers with trial preparation by organizing exhibits, aiding with client meetings, submitting motions, researching legal publications, and coordinating witnesses
    • Organize our case filing systems so that everything is properly categorized and simple to find, as well as perform other administrative tasks as necessary

    · Produce legal documents, letters, and pleadings such as complaints, interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits under the supervision of a lawyer

    • Meet with attorneys, clients, and other professionals to discuss assigned cases or projects
    • Assist attorneys with trail preparation, which may include attending trials and hearings.

    Required Skills/Abilities:

    · Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    · Minimum 5-10 years of experience as a litigation or prelitigation paralegal in a law firm (Personal Injury field preferred)

    · Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, e-filing, Westlaw, Prolaw or another case management software

    · Trial experience preferred
