The Tradesman Supervisor will oversee and collaborate with the tradesman team on various projects throughout the Buffalo Portfolio. The primary objective is to ensure allocated projects are completed efficiently, on-time, and to a high standard.

This role involves:

• Supervising and monitoring subordinates' work by assigning specific duties and evaluating performance in accordance with standard trade practices, building codes, and company standards.
• Maintaining records of projects, including materials needed/used, equipment, tools, and labor requirements.
• Requisitioning materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, and replacement parts.
• Determining schedules and assignments for work activities based on priority, deadlines, quantity of equipment, and skill of subordinates.
• Estimating costs of materials needed and tracking material usage.
• Deciding whether work is best performed in-house or by an outside contractor, considering cost/time savings and the team's capabilities.
• Stocking and maintaining the maintenance shop with necessary supplies.
• Operating the company vehicle as needed.
• Processing work orders assigned to skilled trades.
• Assisting in training apprentice tradesmen.
• Coordinating work activities with other skilled trades on renovation and/or construction projects.

Key Qualifications:

• Completion of required education/training along with licenses/certifications in preferred skilled trades (Journeyman Electrician, Plumber, HVAC Mechanics).
• At least five years' experience in trades field.
• At least three years of leadership experience required; five years preferred.
• GED or High School equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
