    Psychiatric Registered Nurse - Full-time Nights

    Our Registered Nurses promote and restore patients' health by completing the nursing process, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members, providing physical and psychological support to patients and families and supervising assigned team members.

    Inpatient Adult Behavioral Health & Psychiatry
    Graduation from an accredited nursing program.

    • One year Adult Psych, and/or Chemical Dependency nursing experience preferred.
    • Psychiatric mental health certification a plus.
    • Proficient computer skills required; Cerner Medconnect experience preferred.
    • Shift: 12 hour shifts, weekend requirement

    Is a not-for-profit, 912-bed academic medical center in the center of the nation's capital. Every day, hundreds of people in the region depend on us for their care. It is the busiest and largest hospital in Washington, D.C.

    and the surrounding area and serve as a referral center and the central hub for the region's most advanced acute medical care.

    The inpatient unit has a capacity of 46 beds (24 on Unit 2K and 22 on Unit 2L).

    Our services are available to adults (18 years and older) for the treatment of all types of psychiatric, mental and emotional disorders, organic disorders with emotional components; the symptoms of which place the patient at imminent risk of harm to self or others.
