    ICU Registered Nurse – Southbridge, MA

    Contract Duration: 13 Weeks 

    Shift: 12-Hour Night Shift (19:00 – 07:00) | 36 Hours Per Week

    Job Summary

    Seeking an experienced ICU RN for their 8-bed Intensive Care Unit in Southbridge. This position is situated within a community-focused hospital setting that demands high clinical competence and the ability to work independently on the night shift. As a member of the UMass Memorial system, you will have access to centralized resources while providing personalized care in a smaller, tight-knit unit environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Critical Care Oversight: Manage high-acuity patients in an 8-bed unit, focusing on respiratory failure, sepsis, and post-operative stabilization.
    • Rapid Response: Serve as a critical resource for the facility during night shift emergencies and code events.
    • Documentation: Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical charting and medication administration (experience is strictly required).
    • Collaboration: Partner with respiratory therapy and intensivists to execute complex care plans.

    Requirements & Qualifications

    • Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience is required.
    • Licensure: Active Massachusetts (MA) State RN License must be "in hand" at the time of submission.
    • Certifications: * ACLS (AHA) – Required.
      • CCRN – Highly Preferred.
    • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Epic EMR is mandatory.
    • Compliance: Must be willing to complete 3rd party education verification and provide a snip of the MA online portal itemizing board documents.

    Unit & Staffing Details

    • Unit Size: 8 Beds.
    • Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend.
    • Orientation: All orientation hours are billable; modules are billable but may be bypassed with a signed attestation of equivalent training.
    • Floating: Only 1 submission per UMass system is allowed; be prepared for system-wide standards of care.

    Facility Notes:

    • Health Policy: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines are required with no exemptions per facility guidelines.
