    Payroll specialist with a minimum of 3 years in the last role as a payroll specialist who has the below requirements :

    JOB DESCRIPTION :

    Payroll Responsibilities:

    • Process and transmit weekly payroll for 800+ team members.
    • Collect banking information for direct deposit setup and initiate deposits on paydays.
    • Familiarize yourself and keep current with the taxation of salaries, benefits and other factors. Process and monitor garnishment orders and other issues that impact payroll. Maintain and document all payroll records.
    • Conduct semi-annual audits of all payroll records. Detect and process issues related to uncollected payroll. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns. Review weekly and bi-weekly payroll deductions. Support Benefits & Payroll Manager with other projects and tasks.

    • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, challenging environment
    • Knowledge of local, state, federal, employment laws and regulations
    • Must be able to perform with a sense of urgency and hands on approach
    • Excellent organization and mathematical skills
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with staff in different functions and levels

    Education & Experience

    • College degree required.
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in benefits and payroll
    • Previous Union environment experience preferred
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills
