    Our client, Xcel Energy, is currently in need of a Project Manager for a 12 month contract out of 1800 Larimer, downtown Denver.

    Pay Rate: $70-$77hr on W2 (paid every Friday)

    12 month contract

    Onsite-Denver, CO

    Location: We office out of 1800 Larimer, downtown Denver, however, the different facilities are located across the state. They would need to be travel to the facility to make those face-to-face relationships with the operations folks to review the scope of work. This resource may provide oversight to/for contractors in that field. The other aspect as we talked about above, is just a reporting and financial paperwork that could be in the office or at home. The other facilities may be spread out to as far away as 2+ hours outside of Denver metro. Mileage is reimbursed.

    1. Job Details and Requirements SectionExplain what the scope of the work/project is? Project Overview, deliverables (what is this person responsible for). This will be a standard project manager role within the strategic team. Responsible for budget schedule planning, quality and risk on a wind turbine project that needs to be rebuilt, however, this role would expand into other projects as they come up throughout the year. This resource will need work with (Engineering) to review Vestas designs.
    2. What does a typical day look like? Working with plant operations, either onsite or remote. Working with operations, insurance adjusters and Vestas (vendor performing work). Will work with engineers. Most of the resource's time/interaction will be with plant operations; The work will either be on site or remote, depending on how they manage their project and who they have assisting in them.
    3. What is the size of the group this position will be supporting? Who are some of the key players this person will be working with? The team is broken up into base capital and strategic. There are also 8 engineers of different disciplines that support this role. This resource will have those resources available to them for support on the wind turbine project. This project manager is needed to support the wind turbine project as it had a blade strike; the tower needs to be demolished and a new one rebuilt. Again, as stated above, they will be working with operations, the insurance adjusters and Vestas, the contractor performing the work. This resource will work closely with those individuals and report out status to other stakeholders as necessary. They need to (Engineering) assistance to review Vestas designs. Resource might also be working with internal or external consultants for support; whichever they deem necessary for the project.
    4. Will this resource support internal (business), or external customers? Will depend on project needs as stated above. May need to call in external consultants for larger project needs.
    5. What are the main technology application/software skills/experience this resource will be required to possess? Will be working in SAP as well as Bluebeam (PDF editor). Should have strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
    6. Describe work environment / team culture (supportive/collaborative, teamwork or individual contributor)? Very supportive/collaborative environment; there are many support staff/teams that this resource can lean on for mentorship and support, however, the role will be an individual contributor in that they are responsible for managing and driving the project forward.
    7. What is the ramp up time/process for this role? Aside from having the required skill set, approximately how long will it take to train on Xcel's process, procedures/policy? Targeting 5-7 years of experience for this role. The resource should be proficient within a month. Starting out to get a plan in place and work with Vestus to understand scope of work. From there, reporting on progress, demolition, and reconstruction.
    8. What are the work hours/shift (standard, evening, full time/part time, OT required, on-call for 24/7 operation)? Standard/core work hours.
    9. Is this new headcount or a backfill? New headcount. Duration: 12 months.
