    Detailed Description:
    This position will be based in our El Paso, TX office.

    This is a key opportunity for an individual who has a demonstrated strong business acumen and development skills, ability to be able to lead client relationships with key strategic clients, and the delivery of municipal projects within the local market.


    Key responsibilities include:

    • Responsible for ensuring that we are providing services that add to the value of our clients strategic goals and initiatives toward meeting their objectives
    • Identify specific opportunities to build our strategic pipeline to help in meeting our client needs through the development of sound client sales plans
    • Operate as a Sales Leader on strategic client pursuits
    • Assist with and lead business development efforts including positioning, pursuits, and Client management services
    • Lead teams to develop pursuit plans, proposals and presentations including project understanding and approaches, and level of effort estimates
    • Support and participate in local or regional conferences and events
    • Participate in BCs QA/QC, risk management and project management processes
    • Support the Texas operation in collaboration with other project managers, client service managers, local and regional and marketing staff
    • Network and collaborate with colleagues in the Western Business Unit and other company teams in support of a one BC concept
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of others on projects including remote discipline staff to ensure proper and timely execution on projects
    • Maintain a positive organizational health and safety culture
    • Develop scope, schedule and budget for design work orders
    • Lead teams to develop and prepare specifications, detailed design drawings, reports, planning, and engineering services during construction
    • Technical and quality control review of study, planning and design documents
    • Utilize internal project management tools and resources to provide successful management of large projects that meet or exceed the project success metrics
    • Execute activities on projects for master planning and modeling of water/wastewater/conveyance systems.

    Desired Skills and Experience:

    • B.S. degree in engineering or environmental science field (Civil, Environmental Engineering, etc.)
    • Demonstrated strong project management skills; PMP certification a plus
    • Professional registration in Texas, or the credentials to obtain registration in a timely manner
    • 10 or more years of increasingly-responsible experience in business development, planning and project delivery
    • Previous supervisory experience with strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to successfully manage clients and projects in a collaborative fashion and interface with Brown and Caldwells local, regional, and national practitioners, as well as to mentor junior staff
    • Self-starter, results-oriented and be able to work under tight deadlines
    • Successful marketing, proposal writing, proposal management, and public presentations experience
    • Collaborative mindset with commitment to the companys focus on employee balance and belonging
