Summary:

BayCare is currently in search of our newest Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to join the laboratory team who is passionate about providing outstanding patient care and customer service to the community we serve

Responsibilities:

• Performs all diagnostic testing and quality controls
• Prepares reagents
• Reports results according to established policies and procedures
• Reviews and oversees moderate to high complexity testing
• Uses, monitors, and maintains computer applications appropriate to the position
• Maintains equipment and supplies
• Works independently and in a team
• Must have customer service and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrates organizational, time management, critical thinking, written, and verbal skills
• Uses and understands medical terminology
• Performs other duties as assigned

Certification & Licensure

• State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist License
• Preferred – ASCP certified

Education:

• Associate's
• Preferred – Bachelor's

Experience:

• Preferred – 1 year laboratory related

Facility: BayCare Health System, Chemistry-MPH

Location: Morton Plant

Status: PRN, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 3:00pm - 11:30pm

Shift: Shift 2

Shift 1 = Days, Shift 2 = Evenings, Shift 3 = Nights, Shift 4 = Varies

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: No
