    Join our team as an HBSS/ESS Cybersecurity Analyst, where you will play a pivotal role in fortifying the cybersecurity posture of the program's classified systems and networks used for development, integration, testing, training, and operations.

    This role requires a specific focus on implementing the ePO v5.10 DoD Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) platform.

    You will collaborate with members of the program's Cybersecurity Team to support ongoing sustainment and engineering development activities, including compliance auditing, vulnerability assessments, patch management, and DISA STIG application.


    In this role, you will get to:
    Administer ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO) for all Trellix products, including content updates, DAT file updates, policy creation/modification, and Client Tasks.

    Conduct compliance audits and vulnerability assessments of systems and networks.

    Collaborate with Systems Administrators to apply DISA STIGs and troubleshoot incomplete or failed scans.


    Support ongoing and future sustainment and engineering development efforts, such as system design changes, OS upgrades, customer cybersecurity assessments, and Authority to Operate (ATO) accreditation efforts.

    Receive mentorship and guidance from our project's Senior Principal Cybersecurity Analyst.


    This role is full-time and in-person at our Colorado Springs, CO Northrop Grumman facility in a classified closed area environment.

    Duties will require occasional support at Ft. Carson in Colorado Springs, CO (about 15-20 mins drive from the NG facility).

    Travel is not anticipated for this role, but openness to potential future OCONUS travel assignments is preferred

    a non-expired passport is preferred but not required.

    This requisition is open as a dual level opportunity. We are considering candidates at a level 2 or level 3.


    Basic Qualifications:

    Level 2:

    Bachelor's degree in relevant STEM field with 2 years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree with 0 years of relevant experience.

    Alternatively, an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a STEM degree.

    Level 3:

    Bachelor's degree in relevant STEM field with 5 years of relevant experience OR Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience.

    Alternatively, an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a STEM degree.

    Active IAT Level II (CompTIA Security+) certification.

    Active Secret security clearance.

    Intermediate to advanced proficiency in RHEL OS command line usage and Windows PowerShell.

    Intermediate to advanced skillset in Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS). Able to perform moderately complex tasks for Trellix Endpoint Security (ENS) implementation, administration, and troubleshooting. Able to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems with minimal direction from a senior analyst.


    Completion and applied knowledge of DoD-provided ESS trainings such as ESS Administrator (201 ePO 5.10), ESS Advanced Administrator (301 ePO 5.10), and ESS Analyst (501 ePO 5.10).

    Experience in scanning, remediating, mitigating, and reporting cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

    Working knowledge and experience with NIST RMF and DISA STIGs.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Experience with the USSF Authority to Operate (ATO)/Security Impact Assessment (SIA) processes and system cybersecurity assessments.

    Experience with SolidCore whitelisting.

    Familiarity with Patch Management tools such as WSUS and Red Hat Satellite Server.

    Previous experience with missile warning satellite ground systems.

    Previous experience supporting DoD network environments.

    Familiarity with JIRA for task assignment and tracking.

    Completion and applied knowledge of Endpoint Security ENS 10.7 Essentials training.

    Experience with Hyper-V virtual machines (VMs).

    Experience with SQL database management.

    Proficiency in POA&M development and management for eMASS.

    Working knowledge and experience with Automated Security Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool or Tenable NESSUS.

    Working knowledge and experience with Xylok or other automated STIG scanning tools.

    Working knowledge and experience with Splunk, including configuration and development of Splunk Enterprise.

    Ability to develop Ports, Protocols, and Services Matrix (PPSM) IAW DoD standards.

    Experience with DevSecOps principles and practices.


    Salary Range:
    $79,300 - $118,900


    Salary Range 2:
    $97,500 - $146,300


    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

    Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

    In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
