    Description
    A local civil contractor is looking for asphalt laborers to assist with repair, maintenance and installation of asphalt operations. The right candidates will have experience digging out , shoveling, grading, looping, tamping and rolling out asphalt.

    Additionally, candidates will be familiar with jobsite operations on highways and interstates, safety practices, personal protective equipment, job site setup and breakdown.

    $18-$21 an hour opportunity for overtime - NO BENEFITS
    Assist with the construction and maintenance of asphalt projects- Load and unload construction materials and equipment- Operate hand tools and power tools as directed by the construction team- Dig trenches, backfill excavations, and compact earth to prepare for construction- Perform general cleanup of work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)- Assist with work zone set up and break down; Provide flagging services for traffic- Collaborate with the construction team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

    • Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment
    • Class C driver's license with no restrictions
    • One year of verifiable work history as a asphalt construction laborer required
    • Ability to work in varying outdoor environment including extreme hot and cold temperatures for extended periods of time.
