    Position Description

    The applicant will flourish as a relationship manager, collaborating directly with the team to deliver tax and consulting services in compliance with our professional standards and Firm rules. This position includes:

    • As a vital member of the Leadership Team, review and evaluate the ongoing demands of supporting our clients.
    • Managing various engagements, using the tax team to prioritize engagements and allocate tasks to create effective workflow.
    • Manage and facilitate IRS income tax audits, as well as client contacts.
    • Mentor, train, and assess the tax team's performance and progress.
    • Evaluate processes to increase efficiency and update procedures;
    • Stay current on tax legislation and legislative developments that affect service delivery;
    • Participate in professional, social, and community activities to support the accounting profession, meet community needs, and uphold professional ethics.
    • Review and create quarterly and yearly tax predictions for clients;

    Education & Qualifications Required

    • A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field from an authorized institution or university.
    • Valid and current CPA license.
    • Member complies with AICPA norms.
    • 7 years of prior public accounting experience or employment as a controller for a privately owned corporation.

    Technical Knowledge

    Candidate must possess knowledge, understanding and ability to:

    • Ability to apply US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles);
    • Experienced in preparing multi-state taxes for both nonprofit and for-profit customers;
    • Familiarity with federal and local taxing authorities' laws and regulations, as well as research in these areas;
    • Strong research and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency with technology, notably tax, accounting, and Office 365 apps.
    • Skilled in providing tax consultation, planning, and preparation for individual and company customers;
