    Chimera Enterprises International seeks a CBRN Field Instructor to support the U.S. Coast Guard Special Missions Training Center; Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Program Course.

    Job Duties include but are not limited to:

    • Must be able to lift and carry 75lbs, work in extreme weather elements in a training/range setting or maritime environment and wear full protective gear weighing up to 60lbs for full workdays.
    • Will be required to become knowledgeable with Coast Guard FORCECOM SOPs and SMTC local policies, personnel must certify as an instructor and maintain instructor certification(s) in accordance with FORCECOM SOPs and SMTC local policies and procedures.
    • Will be required to become familiar with all Marine Corps and Coast Guard range safety regulations/policies to include successfully obtaining Range Safety Officer certification.
    • Providing instruction in both classroom settings, range operations, and in a maritime environment during extreme weather conditions (hot/cold) while wearing personal protective equipment weighing up to 60lbs.
    • Facilitate Coast Guard Units Fleet Training Course scheduling, continuously track, and update rosters and appropriately document members' course and practical completion status. Coordinate mobile training travel for approved Standard/Defense training programs. CBRN Instructors can expect to travel to conduct mobile travel training for 80 or more days out of the year.
    • Ensure compliance with CG Ordinance Manual, Department of the Army Pamphlet Range Safety). MCIEAST Range Safety and applicable policies and procedures during mobile travel training.
    • Hours can include 12 or more hours a day and some courses are to be held in reverse cycle, starting past midnight and running into the early mornings and, at times, will include holidays.
    • Upon hire, must obtain successful Fit-Test for Coast Guard service CBRN masks in accordance with CG Policy for CS Chamber and CS gas training activities.
    • Responsible for serving as an authoritative consultant in designing, preparing, and delivering programs of instruction including lesson plans, evaluation plans, equipment, and other related educational plans designed to train, assess, and sustain skills needed for the Coast Guard CBRN Standard and Defense program and Coast Guard Forces.
    • For CENTCOM Pre-Deployment Training Course (two weeks per convening) may be used as opposing forces during CBRN training that use marking cartridges for up to 08 opposing forces roles per day.
    • Shall prepare all classrooms, ensure all course equipment preparation and maintenance, and complete training gear shipment packaging and unpackaging in support of mobile travel training. Range preparation for courses to include CS Chamber setup and operation, target/training scenario builds, shoot house/chamber set up, flat range and CBRN exercise set-ups, and conduct/participate in all course workups.
    • Responsible for conducting evaluations and observations during formal institutional training, off-site sustainment training, major training events, and exercises.
    • Responsible for providing daily feedback to students, maintaining student records and at times sitting on field safety boards and performance review boards in accordance with TRASYS SOP Volume 13 and Special Missions Training Center local polices.
    • Have a valid driver's license to operate government and rental vehicles.

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 3 years experience as a formal classroom instructor providing training with proof of formal graduate of instructor training.CBRN training experience aboard a variety of military floating and shore units is preferable.
    • Required to work with the Performance Systems Branch (PSB) to update course materials and complete graduation packages as determined by the CBRN Section Chief/COR and PSB. Required to work with logisticians to ensure completion of training gear maintenance and pre/post training gear shipment preparations.
    • Required to assist where otherwise needed at SMTC Camp Lejeune, NC with resident and CBRN-related training.
    • Required to work in extreme weather to include extreme heat, rain, and cold conditions.
    • Must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license to operate government vehicles.
