- Conducting highly complex engineering analyses and designs using advanced engineering methods, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Serving as an advisor and providing technical counsel on specialized or unique engineering requirements.
- Providing technical leadership and training on complex projects, including mentoring other engineers.
- Initiating the development of new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives.
- Identifying potential problems and initiating corrective actions in accordance with established processes.
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering and eight years of engineering experience, plus one diverse assignment; OR a high school diploma or GED and a PE license obtained by an accredited examination, plus eight years of engineering experience and one diverse assignment.
- Knowledge of engineering principles, practices, and theories, with the ability to solve complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses.
- Advanced technical knowledge of related disciplines.
- Ability to maintain current knowledge of industry developments and applications.
- Two diverse assignments are preferred.
- SRO or Plant Certification is desirable.
- PE license is preferred.
- Experience with Medium Voltage switchgear, 4kV electrical bus structures, advanced relay and protection is desired.
- Experience in Nuclear design processes and familiarity with the Standard Design Process and Digital Design Process are plusses.
