Job SummaryPerforms engineering functions in the execution of production projects as part of a cross functional team. This includes project planning, optimization of manufacturing processes, technical problem solving, and design/+development of new manufacturing processes.

Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesDesign assembly tools for production of new parts and cycle time or quality improvement of existing partsDesign and fabricate fixtures and custom toolingUse CAD software for fixture and process designIdentify and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs and improve overall effectiveness of manufacturing processesAssure product and process quality through development of standard workParticipate in new product reviews and influence design for manufacturing Perform other duties as assignedEducation and Experience RequirementsBachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical or Manufacturing EngineeringPreferred Skills and AbilitiesSolidWorks SoftwarePLC (Programmable Logic Control) or other industrial automation softwareStrong knowledge of Lean and/or Six Sigma Manufacturing principlesThorough understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)Capital Projects procurement and implementationWorking Conditions and Physical DemandsManufacturing environment.
