    Job Title: Vice President of Finance

    Location: Hybrid (preference for candidates near Texas)

    Position Summary: The Vice President of Finance will be a key leader within our organization, reporting directly to the CEO and the Board, with a direct path to a CFO promotion in 2026. You will head our accounting and finance organization, ensuring the integrity of our financial operations and supporting the company's growth trajectory.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead all aspects the accounting and finance organization, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Seeking leaders who are thinkers AND doers.
    • Responsible for executing month-end close procedures, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals, to ensure accurate financial statements.
    • Delivers timely and precise financial reporting, providing insights into the company's performance and supporting strategic decision-making.
    • Regularly identify and evaluate opportunities for more efficient, automated, innovative, and effective administrative operations, internal controls, policies, procedures, recordkeeping, and reporting.
    • Coordinate activities of the Finance/Audit and Investment Committees, developing agendas and providing timely, accurate, and well-organized financial, investment, and organizational performance and projections.
    • While not driving the systems implementation, some involvement in the process will be required.
    • Expertise in managing Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) and overseeing payroll operations

    Qualifications:

    • 12-20 years of experience in finance, with a proven track record of leadership and operational excellence.
    • A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting is highly desired, but not required
    • Significant experience in last 5 years at an organization divested from a larger entity OR saas/payments/fintech
    • Preferable experience managing lenders / covenants
    • Strong leadership skills with the ability to think strategically and act operationally.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing a finance/accounting organization with extensive knowledge of P&L, Balance Sheet, and cash flow
    • Strong technical accounting background with intimate understanding of GAAP
    • Familiarity with modern financial systems and technologies.
    • Involvement in M&A, audit management, and lending partnerships is advantageous but not required
    • Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to work closely with executive teams and the Board.
