    Position Summary


    Th Research Assistant position will be housed within the UNC Center for Health Equity Research and will directly work CHER Research team staff, directors, and external stakeholders such as community partners.

    They will be responsible for providing research support for the day-to-day activities of funded programs and projects under the purview of the Center.

    These tasks will include, but are not limited to curriculum building, program designing, community engagement, research administration, team communication, data analysis, database management, and literature searches and synthesis.

    Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

    Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

    Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience


    Excellent organizational and time management skills and the ability to consistently follow through and follow up with assignments of others are critical.

    Strong research and analytical skills. Strong communication skills. MS Office suite experience required.

    Meticulous and detail-oriented, able to understand the structure and constraints of curriculum/ program design development, data collection plans, database/data management plans, and analyses accordingly.

    Ability to clearly, concisely, professionally, and effectively communicate in writing and verbally with staff, faculty, and individuals in other organizations, including community partners.

    Ability to work independently, identify needs and develop and implement improvements.

    Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience

    Qualitative or quantitative data analysis software experience preferred (e.g. NVivo, , SPSS, SAS, STATA, R, REDCap, etc.).
