The Material Handler prepares and loads product from inventory for shipment to customers. This position also pulls and delivers parts and materials from warehouse to assembly areas.

Stocks and retrieves merchandise stored on various levels using high lift materials handling equipment to lift, carry, move, and position palletized merchandise or materials. Responsible for safe operation of equipment to ensure no damage to merchandise, equipment or facilities. May be called on for non-routine equipment operation or handling of delicate loads. Typically has 3-5 years of experience and works under broad supervision.

Essential Functions

Responsible for general knowledge of any / all job-related machinery, equipment, and work instructions.
Pick, pull, stage and load outgoing shipments of finished goods
Complete tags for each pallet of shipped product
Shrink wrap completed pallets, ensuring labeling is correct
Ensure accuracy, quality and timeliness of all outgoing shipments
Deliver parts and materials to the production floor
Operate forklift to move product to loading and assembly areas
Prepare packing slips and bills of lading
Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhere to all safety procedures

Position Qualifications

Good organizational skills
Basic math skills
Basic computer skills
Licensed forklift operator

Experience

0-1 year
Prior shipping and receiving experience is preferred
