    Purchasing Manager 7930 N Faulkner Rd, Milwaukee, WI53224, USA Req #792 Thursday, January 18, 2024 The Purchasing Managerplays a key role in overseeing and enhancing strategic supplierrelationships, as well as managing various purchasing processes andactivities.

    They serve as a champion in obtaining the best overall valuefor all acquired items, encompassing materials, products, supplies, andservices. The overarching objective is to enhance quality and streamlineprocesses while simultaneously minimizing costs.


    What You Will Do:
    Develop and implement purchasing strategies.

    Develop the supplier baseto meet quality, cost, and on-time delivery requirements, and developnew suppliers as required to meet stated objectives.

    Managing supplierrelations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc. Assess,manage, and mitigate risks. Evaluate and execute cost reductions andquality improvements within the supply chain. Participate and play a keyrole in new product developments. Manage supplier rating system(s).Serve as a mentor to manage, develop, and motivate staff. Develop,recommend, and implement purchasing policies and procedures. Coordinatewith Supply Chain and inventory control to determine and manageinventory needs. Be able to recommend and implement leading-edgepurchasing systems and associated processes. Use data/data analytics todrive continuous improvement activities. Make recommendations forcontinuous improvement Maintain appropriate staffing levels. Responsiblefor time and attendance, completing performance/competency evaluations,competency/training logs, providing feedback, motivation, anddisciplinary action for employees in assigned department(s). What YouBring (Qualifications): Bachelor\'s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, orrelated field. 7+ years of purchasing and negotiating experience, with2+ years managing others. Automotive manufacturing experience with aglobal organization preferred. Deep knowledge of inventory and supplychain management. Thorough understanding of MRP concepts. Knowledge andunderstanding of ERP systems. (JD Edwards/PeopleSoft preferred) Provenexperience with data analysis and process improvement. Internationalsupply chain experience preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office. CPMcertification preferred. Ability to travel by air/car as needed.

    Musthave a valid driver\'s license, acceptable driving record, and adequateinsurance Keys for success:
    Excellent communication skills, both writtenand verbal.

    MRP/Forecasting ERP Systems Negotiating SupplierRelationship Management/Development Agile in using data for analysis andpath toward automation High energy; Able to meet the rigor of theautomotive and other demanding markets.

    Excellent people andcommunication skills and practices.
