    Welcome to the Nir Family YMCA!

    We are excited to announce that Josh Gravette has been appointed as the new Executive Director of the Nir Family YMCA branch located on Market Street in Wilmington. Josh brings a wealth of experience and a passion for community service to this role.

    • Previously, Josh served as the Executive Director of the Southside Virginia Family YMCA, where he managed charitable donations and funding allocation for Y programs and services.
    • With a background in biology and human genetics, Josh transitioned to a career in the Y after gaining experience in food testing.
    • During his tenure at the YMCA of Central Virginia, Josh created impactful programs such as a second-grade swim lesson program to address child drowning fatalities.
    • Now, as the Executive Director of the Nir Family YMCA, Josh plans to leverage his fiscal management skills to enhance member experiences and community engagement.
